Smartest Kid in the World 2013
Intelligence is a gift not all of us are granted or blessed with, but it is something that we could all attain with perseverance.
Intelligence can be defined in many different ways including, but not limited to, abstract thought, understanding, self-awareness, communication, reasoning, learning, emotional knowledge, retaining, planning and problem solving.
Now, intelligence is most widely studied in humans, but could also be seen and observed from animals and in plants as well. Artificial intelligence is a stimulation of intelligence on machines.
Within the study of psychology, various approaches to human intelligence have been experimented and observed, The psychometric approach is especially familiar to the general public as well as being, so far, the most studied and researched in terms of practical settings.
To explain it further, being intelligent means having a good and keen understanding on things or having a very high mental capacity that could quickly comprehend on things with reasoning and understanding.
It is quite rare and unusual to meet people with such high intelligence. But here is a very amazing fact, there is, among us, a kid who holds many interesting records that we normally find intimidating and intriguing. Amongst the holders of the famous ‘Guinness Book of Records’ is a child named Elise Tan-Roberts from Great Britain. She is known to currently hold the record of being the smartest kid in the world. Elise Tan-Roberts, at the age of two (2), had a IQ of 156- just four points lower than Albert Einstein. She also holds the record of being the youngest ever to be a member of MENSA. And so, at the age of over two years old, this child, Elise Tan Roberts has been renowned the cleverest child.
The majority of parents believe that their children are geniuses, but this child is different; Elise Tan Roberts has the official seal of approval to back up such claim. Not only does she know her shapes, but the London resident also can count in Spanish. But incredibly, her favorite thing to do is actually recite capitals. She knows 35 of them, including Paris, Tokyo, and Washington D.C.
Although MENSA could only test people with the age older than 10, Elise was accepted because of a previous evidence application that has confirm her IQ score which was within the top 2 percent of the population, this is according to British Mensa’s Web site. But actually, before little Elise took Mensa’s youngest ever honors, the title of the youngest female child ever admitted to Mensa were held by Georgia Brown. Georgia had bee the youngest girl when she joined in year 2007. The youngest boy and youngest member ever accepted was Ben Woods, who joined Mensa in the 1990s; this is according to Mensa’s web site.
Of course, we all want our children or future children to be geniuses, but that doesn’t have to mean you’ll force them to be the smartest kid alive; in fact, with great character and great attributes, even without having the title of being the most intelligent child in world, your child can be considered just as smart as these kids are.
